How much do you charge?
We generally work on a package basis, so can offer a quote quickly with only a few essential details needed. Get in touch with us with your contact details (and ideally date, times, location and occasion) and we’ll get back to you with an all inclusive quote, pronto! Or fill out the contact form here.
What’s the booking process?
Once we know all the key info (see our contact form) for your booking and we can confirm availability on your desired date, we’ll send you a quote. We usually hold quotes for 10 days (unless a short notice booking) where the booking will be held in our calendar whilst you make your decision to book. Should you wish to book us, we’ll request a deposit of 1/3 of the total quote that will secure the date and our commitment to your event. You can pay deposits by Bank Transfer or by PayPal. A receipt and booking confirmation will be sent to you once it has been paid. The remaining balance will be due before we start playing on the night of the performance, however you can pay the remaining balance any time beforehand, even in instalments, if you prefer.
What kind of music do you play?
You can be as hands on (or off!) as you like with the selection of music. Whether you want to send us a list (or Spotify/Apple Music Playlist) or leave it up to us, our DJs knowledge and music collections span the decades to get the balance just right for everyone. We also use a similar setups that are generally found in Nightclubs & Bars, which allows us to mix the tracks just as you’d expect on a night out.
Do you play requests?
Yes, we are very happy to take requests on the night from you and your guests. You can also send us ‘must-play’ request lists beforehand, or even encourage your guests to list some of their favourite tunes they’d like to hear at your event if you’re doing RSVPs. The requests are then given to our DJs before the function, to help them be super-prepared!
What equipment will the DJ bring?
The price that we quote, includes a DJ with professional sound and lighting equipment, suitable for the number of guests you have indicated with a digital archive of over 20,000 tracks.
How long do you need to set up, and how much space do you require?
All bookings require a minimum of 1 hour prior to the start of the event and 45 minutes after to pack away. All we require is an area big enough for a 9ft table and a standard plug socket as nearby as possible.
Have you got public liability insurance?
Yes. Now becoming a necessity in the majority of venues, we hold a £2 Million Public Liability Insurance cover with Simply Business Insurance. A copy of our current certificate is available on request.
Is your equipment safety tested?
All our equipment is Portable Appliance (PAT) tested annually in accordance with the Health & Safety Executive, Electricity at Work Act 1989. A copy of your our current test certificate is available on request.
Do you confirm in writing?
Most of our communication is done via email, however we can send a signed agreement in the post on your request.
How far away is the DJ coming from?
We’re based in South Devon, but cover the entire South & South West, UK. Normally your DJ will live within an 1-2 hours of your event.
What will the DJ wear?
Our dress code is either smart casual, shirt & tie or black tie upon request. Please indicate your preference when contacting us.
How do I pay?
Customers may pay us by cash, bank transfer, credit/debit card or by PayPal. For Corporate customers, we can provide an invoice prior to the event, sent via post or email.
